Now some you may have noticed an ever shrinking OC, well since I made the decision to stop training for crossfit and go back to my love of what I call ‘Body Training’ ( not bodybuilding as that conjures up negative connotations and also freaks people out ) I have been undertaking my own little experiment. I think it’s important to ‘practice what you preach’ a value which all P6 staff uphold, so I decided to get in touch with a friend of mine and let him take over my training and nutrition for 12 weeks… The aim… Get as lean as possible and end up with a photoshoot at the end of it. Anyone that truly knows me, knows that for me, that is as uncomfortable as it gets! Unlike my business partner 😉 he loves a good pose! Also included in this is the fact i’ll have to get tanned up and if you notice in most photoshoots their isn’t a body hair in sight… What on earth have I let myself in for?
The photos below are the unfiltered, untouched standard photos we take like we do for you guys, 6 weeks apart, all i have done is just track a few figures, eat regularly, changed my training and followed what my coach tells me. Simple but effective.
BTW this is training only 4 days a week 45-60mins, compared to the start where I was training 6 days a week, quite often for 90+ mins split into 2 sessions. So similar, if not less than what some of you guys do… Also that’s with less than optimal recovery, 5am starts every day bar 1 and sometimes not getting home till 8pm. Yes I work at a gym but I still have a lot of other things going on. Family being the most important part of that.
So what has it been like so far? Not too bad, some of you have had a taster of the nutritional side of things as I have already incorporated it into my PT clients for those that it ‘suits’. Once the basic understanding is there its fairly ‘easy’ to do. The one thing it has taught me more than anything so far is being efficient with food prep time. It is about being consistent with the food prep, making sure you plan and cook only once a day.
